Lesson plan cooking activities We started the day today with J’s swim lesson. I am so impressed with how much he has improved over the past month. When he started lessons, he wouldn’t even put his head under the water. Now he holds his breath for ten seconds, jumps from the side of the pool, and is learning to do breaststroke.

When his lesson was over, he and Miss M spent another hour splashing in the pool. By the time we got home, they were both starving, but it wasn’t supper time yet. I knew it was time for a special summer snack lesson plan cooking activities using Teddy Grahams For more informative blogs visit Ideal Writer.
The other day I returned from the grocery store with a box of Teddy Grahams. They aren’t something I would normally buy, but Miss M saw the cute bear on the front of the box and had to have them. I usually let her choose something since I’m sure grocery shopping isn’t the highlight of her day so the Teddy Grahams came home with us.
As I unloaded the groceries and put the Teddy Grahams into the cabinet, the back of the box caught my eye. There was a cute beach-themed snack that used the Teddy Grahams. I thought making the snack would be a fun activity to do with the kids.
The Teddy Graham box
After unloading our pool bag, I pulled all of the ingredients from the cabinet and refrigerator. I used a box of Teddy Grahams, some blueberry yogurt, some regular graham crackers, strawberries, and confectioners sugar.
I altered the original recipe slightly based on what I already had and what my kids like to eat. You can find the original recipe here. My kids eagerly climbed onto their chairs at the kitchen table. I gave them each a bowl, and we started creating our summer snack lesson plan cooking activities.
The back of the box suggested using vanilla pudding as the water in the bowl. My kids aren’t big fans of pudding. On the few occasions I bought pudding snacks, my kids ate one bite, and the rest went into the garbage can.
I also wanted the color to be more representative of water so I bought some blueberry yogurt to use in the recipe. I gave each kiddo a cup of blueberry yogurt, and they used spoons to transfer it to their bowls.
Next, we created the sand using a regular graham cracker. J used his fist to smash the graham cracker into tiny bits. Miss M was a bit more gentle. She very carefully picked off one piece at a time. In retrospect, I probably should have had them crush the graham crackers in a baggie. This part was a bit messy, but they had fun.
Once you’ve made your beach, you are ready to decorate with your Teddy Grahams. As the back of the box suggested, we used a strawberry as an inner tube to help one bear float in the “water”. Strawberries also served as the beach towel and umbrella for lesson plan cooking activities.
We used a regular graham cracker to create a raft. I quickly made some icing using confectioner’s sugar and milk and put it into a baggie. After snipping a small hole in the corner of the baggie, Miss M and J used it to decorate their towels and give their bears swimsuits lesson plan cooking activities. Then, they used a few sprinkles to decorate.
These snacks were so much fun to make and even more, fun to eat. The bears had fun swimming in the ocean of yogurt and diving into our mouths – almost as much fun as my kids had at the pool during this morning’s lesson plan cooking activities.
